Battle mage?
A very dark robed figure, almost like a necromancer but a mess load cooler.
Battle mages should have some type of sword (call it a blade, maybe?) and have skills similar to fire magic/blood magic.
I can't elaborate much, you guys can ask questions if you want. It runs better in my own head and I can answer anything.

Not really. Maybe the robes, but their entire body is covered. Even the female is barely revealed. Think along the lines of those robes on KH2.
It's nothing like the dervish, perhaps the robes thing threw you off.

Heres a question: What makes it unique from elementalists and necromancers?

Here's a question: Will we get a legitimate and descriptive answer?
Don't post if the answer is a resounding, "No."

Because it's not exactly fire magic, since it's more acidic and comes from more chaotic origins. Not just the element of fire.
His "death" magic is more like "insanity" magic, going into the enemies mind and screwin it up before he cuts an arm of with is sword. (It's not like a mesmer, as the mesmer simply makes other enemies hurt themselves. The Bm would hurt them while their mind is weakened)

Circle of flame, He slams fist down and does the acidic fire damage to all foes around him, it's a very quick spell and very hard to interrupt or counter.
Flame whip. 2-3 second cast rate, makes a whip that hits 3 targets for 35% of their current health. (If that's too much, it can always be lowered.)
Hallucination. Makes target foe see targets that aren't really there (to other players it would look like they were attacking air.)

Sorry if the first post was vague. Like I said, It works better in my head and wasn't sure how to write it down. I'm more question-based.

Circle of Flame=Inferno
This is basically an ele with a sword. C'mon it's really not very unique at all. I can't see how it's going to work differently than any other class out there at all.

Flame whip deals 35% of their total health? So in other words you have 3 of these guys and a monk to spike not one but maybe even 3 people for 115% of their total life? GG...
better start explaining outside of your head otherwise I don't see this becoming much of anything other than a dead thread.

I already made a battlemage class... didn't get many responses for it... try searching first and if you see something you like, try adding to it or making suggestions for someone elses class.

You're not reading. It's not exactly elemental fire, it's more demonic/acidic fire that comes from more chaotic origins. While elementalists are warriors, the Battlemage would be the demons.
And the 35% thing hits for their CURRENT health, not their TOTAL health. There's no way to possibly kill with flame whip but it does still hurt.
However, dead thread indeed. It's really an awesome concept, but I lack the descriptive skills to explain more.
